Quality You Can Measure – Meter Rules "MADE IN GERMANY":

Our rules and wooden jointed rules are made exclusively in Germany. The majority of our high-quality common beech and hornbeam wood for our rules comes from the very best woodlands of Germany, especially from the regions of Bavaria and Württemberg.

We pay particular attention to the care we take of the wood. After sawing, we store our entire supply on corrugated slats so as to avoid leaving slat marks. An open-air roofed-over ageing area of 12,000 m² the wood is air-dried for 1 – 5 years.

Furthermore, we also have Europe’s most modern drying rooms at our disposal. Technical drying is achieved thanks to 3 fresh air / exhaust air chambers, as well as a vacuum dryer. We pay careful attention to meticulous handling and appropriate storage so as to ensure best quality for our measuring rules. The technically dried products are stored in our temperature and moisture controlled hall.

Our rule hinges are made of high-grade steel from well-known European manufacturers. The latest stamping methods ensure our use of hinges of consistently high quality. Depending on the type of hinge, we use special finishes and tempered steel to achieve the best and longest-lasting sliding qualities for our hinges.

Our patented hinges are made of high-grade alloyed quality steel. Tempering processes, as well as environmentally friendly and even coating, result in the long-lasting smoothness of the entire rule. Our standard hinges have a fine finish so as to produce esthetically pleasing and technically superlative hinges.

Our paints and varnishes are 100% environment friendly. The surfaces are finished with several coats of UV-varnish so that the rule is completely water-repellant.
